ARTIST, PUBLISHER AND INNOVATOR, REVEREND SHILOH MCCLOUD PARTNERS WITH ALICE WALKER TO PRODUCE A NEW GREETING CARD AND POSTER LINE.
Mendocino, California--Reverend Shiloh McCloud, famous for the healing power of her illustrated workbooks for women which encourage using creativity as a path of healing and transformation, has founded a revolutionary publishing company owned by women and girls.
One of the launch projects of this important new company is a partnership between Alice Walker's words and Shiloh McCloud's imagery. Long time admirers of one another, the two worked together to create six different cards and posters designed to provide empowering and inspiring messages. About the Palm of Her Hand publishing project, Walker says, "I believe women know what we need. It is a matter of looking deeply into our lives, our dreams, failings and successes and understanding ourselves by following an invisible thread that grows from the very center of our Being."
That thread, the sticky silk of connection, webs Shiloh and Alice together in their mutual commitment to transform images of women in our culture through collaborative creativity. Shiloh says: ”My work is rooted in my unreasonable desire to ease suffering in the world." One of the quotes from Alice on the card is “Hard Times Require Furious Dancing.”
This partnership project provides what we're all looking for this season; a bit of inspiration to celebrate our gratitude for the many gifts in all our lives.
Shiloh McCloud, along with many other women collaborators have plans to work together to build a unique company through publishing positive media, namely books, cards and DVDS designed with an inspirational and educational intent. Shiloh says: “Our company has the heart of a non-profit because our products are for serving others, but we also want to create abundance for our contributors in the process. To give women a chance to share their wisdom with others ”
